Introduction
These term and conditions apply to all transactions on the Sterling Furniture web site. By placing an order with us you will be deemed to have read, understood and agreed to these Terms and Conditions. If you are unhappy with any aspect of these, then you should contact us at enquiries@sterlingfurniture.co.uk prior to placing an order. Nothing in these conditions affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

Ordering Process
You will be guided through the ordering process by a series of simple on screen instructions. The order is confirmed by pressing the ‘Confirm Order’ button at the end of the sales process. We will then send you an email order acknowledgement which details the products that you have ordered. This email is not an order confirmation or order acceptance from Sterling Furniture Group. Acceptance of your order and the completion of the contract between you and us will take place on despatch to you of the products ordered unless we have notified you that we do not accept your order or you have cancelled it.

Pricing & Payment
The total cost of your order is the price displayed on our website (plus a delivery charge). This will be clearly stated on your order confirmation, with the following exception. If we discover an error in the price of goods you have ordered, we will inform you as soon as possible and give you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price, or cancelling it. If we are unable to contact you we will treat the order as cancelled, and will give you a full refund. We will charge your credit card account on placement of the order. All prices are inclusive of VAT (where applicable) at the current rates. Online orders must be paid for by credit/debit card. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Delta card and Switch.

Pricing Errors
While we try and ensure that all prices on our website are accurate, errors may occur. If we discover an error in the price of goods you have ordered we will inform you as soon as possible and give you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price or cancelling it. If we are unable to contact you we will treat the order as cancelled. If you cancel and you have already paid for the goods, you will receive a full refund.

Delivery
Delivery applies to UK Mainland addresses only. Please email enquiries@sterlingfurniture.co.uk for a quotation for delivery to the Channel, Scilly Islands, Scottish Highlands and Islands, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, BFPO & Eire addresses. An estimated delivery timescale is associated with each product. Where an order contains more than one item, all items will be delivered at the same time once all items are available. We will make every effort to deliver your goods within the estimated timescale, however delays are occasionally inevitable due to unforeseen factors. Sterling Furniture Group shall be under no liability for any delay or failure to deliver the products within estimated timescales. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure adequate access to the point of delivery. Please check the delivery as soon as you get it with the delivery invoice as well as a physical inspection of the delivery.

Regarding a delivery date you will be contacted approaching the delivery with a date and we ask that someone will be at home on that date to accept the delivery. We cannot, unfortunately give you a time slot for delivery only a delivery date.

Preparing for delivery

Many customers overlook this aspect and this can lead to unnecessary problems so we ask that you follow these few simple steps to ensure a hassle free delivery.

1. Measure the heights and widths of any hallways and door accesses, as well as the entry clearance.
2. Check the dimensions of the furniture to see if they will fit through your doors.

3. Measure the access route i.e. the Hallway is it wide enough to allow the furniture through the door?

4. Clear plenty of space to allow the delivery, also allow space for the delivery packaging especially if you have ordered multiple items i.e. bedroom cabinets.

 

If at point of delivery our drivers feel there is a risk of damage to the furniture, your property or your belongings, you will be asked to sign a "Delivery Permission form" giving the driver permission to procede. This permission form then permits our delivery drivers to procede without the threat of jurisdiction and compensation. You may, of course, refuse to sign this form and as such the goods will be returned and monies refunded minus a charge for restocking and delivery.
 

Cancellation
You may cancel your order at any time by contacting us on enquiries@sterlingfurniture.co.uk. If your goods have not been dispatched, we will refund the full price of the items and any delivery charge to the card you used to purchase the goods.

Returns Policy
If, for any reason you are in any way unhappy with you purchases you can cancel your order within 7 days of delivery. The 7 days start from the day after the day that you receive the goods. We will provide a full refund for the purchase price of the goods, but not any delivery charges. Please note that you will have to pay an uplift charge commensurate with your original delivery charge for uplifted stock. You may also, if you wish, organise your own returns of goods via courier or in person, please contact the returns dept via email if you wish to do so. Items must be returned in their original packaging. Please note with the exception of faulty merchandise, for hygiene and safety reasons we cannot accept the return of certain items which have been opened and used which includes mattresses and pillows. Jurisdiction
The products and services offered on Sterling Furniture Group websites are sold for use within the United Kingdom. Use of this web site shall be governed by Scots Law and will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
